Line Manager of the Month - January

To recognise the continuous encouragement provided by line managers, our learners and tutors are nominating those who are offering outstanding support to be in for a chance of being awarded Line Manager of the Month.

Congratulations to our January Line Manager of the Month, Neil Robinson!

Neil was nominated by Cole, who is currently completing his Level 4 Associate Project Manager programme with Siemens Energy.

Cole said:

“Neil has a professional interest and passion about the PMQ as he has also completed the course and therefore understands the time I require to complete tasks set by the apprenticeship Tutor Matteo. During any learning at work, Neil will always ensure I understand the assignment and make sure I’m comfortable completing the task, giving me clear direction and focus at work.”

“Neil regularly takes time to ensure that I am on task by conducting a weekly review where we discuss previous endeavours and ways in which I am constructing my evidence portfolio. He is passionate about developing a strong apprenticeship programme that reflects what I am learning and enables me to develop the skills required within my role. He actively seeks to give me experience within different departments to learn the skills I need.”

“Neil is fully invested in my growth and wants me to strive towards being an employee not just an apprentice at Siemens Energy. He shows this by attending each review and partaking in the conversation and actively responding to any questions asked by the course leaders regarding my progress.”

“Neil has been a great influence on me in terms of the knowledge I have gained on an organisational level as he is the Operations Manager for our business area. Neil can therefore share knowledge with me around what makes a good project and what a good project means for the business. Neil is always partial to helping me engage in new skills relevant to the qualification such as gaining me software licences for SAP, My Forms etc and by allowing me to complete my CSCS to permit my site visits.”

“Neil is passionate about apprenticeships and has a true understanding of the value that I bring to the business and takes pride in mentoring ad developing me within the programme. He fully understands the challenges of the PMQ L4 exam as he has completed the IPMA LD equivalent and is enthusiastic about my learning, using a flexible approach to help me manage my learning time effectively to ensure I can achieve.”
