A huge congratulations to our April Line Manager of the Month, Joe Pacheco at Bedspace, following a fantastic nomination from learner Jacqueline.
This recognition celebrates managers who go above and beyond to support apprentices throughout their learning journey. Joe’s dedication, encouragement, and people-first approach have had a significant impact on Jacqueline’s apprenticeship experience, making him truly deserving of this award.
Jacqueline praised Joe’s supportive leadership style and the positive environment he creates for his team:
“Joe is an exceptional line manager who consistently demonstrates empathy, understanding, and genuine care for his team. He creates an environment where people feel supported both professionally and personally.”
She continued by highlighting Joe’s appreciation for work-life balance and his commitment to flexible working:
“One of Joe’s greatest strengths is his appreciation for family life and his commitment to flexible working, ensuring that team members can balance their responsibilities without feeling pressured or judged.”
Throughout Jacqueline’s apprenticeship, Joe has played a key role in supporting her learning and development. She explained how he has consistently encouraged her progress and helped her successfully balance her responsibilities:
“Throughout my apprenticeship, Joe has gone above and beyond to support my learning and development. He has encouraged me to complete my training, made time in my schedule for study, and helped me balance my workload alongside my apprenticeship commitments."
She also praised his reliability and willingness to help, regardless of how busy he may be:
“His consistency, reliability, and willingness to help no matter how busy he is have made a significant difference to my confidence and progress.”
Jacqueline highlighted that Joe’s impact extends far beyond traditional management responsibilities:
“Joe doesn’t just manage; he mentors. He listens, he guides, and he always goes the extra mile to ensure his team feel valued and capable. This nomination is a chance to recognise the positive impact he has had on my journey and the dedication he shows every day.”
Reflecting on the difference Joe’s support has made, Jacqueline shared how his leadership has helped her grow throughout her apprenticeship:
“Joe’s leadership style has made a real difference to my development and wellbeing. His support has helped me grow in confidence, stay motivated, and successfully progress through my apprenticeship.”
She concluded by recognising the example Joe sets for those around him:
