Apprentice of the Month - June 2026

June Apprentice of the Month: Charlie Hancock

We are delighted to announce that Charlie Hancock, from EDA Apprenticeships Plus (LH Electrical) has been named our June Apprentice of the Month, following an outstanding nomination from LSP Tutor, Damien and Line Manager, Brad.

This recognition celebrates apprentices who demonstrate exceptional commitment, professional growth and a proactive approach to both their role and apprenticeship programme. Charlie’s journey has been a fantastic example of how dedication, ambition and a willingness to learn can accelerate both personal development and business success.

Damien began by recognising Charlie’s impressive progress so far:

“Charlie has made exceptional progress throughout his apprenticeship and is now performing at the level of a confident, capable internal sales professional. He has a couple of months left before EPA. Over the past few months, he has developed rapidly in both skill and maturity, and his impact on the business is clear.”

One of Charlie’s standout achievements has been the responsibility he has earned within the business. He now independently manages around 20 customer accounts, demonstrating the trust his employer has placed in him.

Brad, Charlie’s Manager, highlighted how significant this is:

“Not a lot of apprentices get accounts allocated to them within a year. He’s built good relationships, so it’s good to be able to allocate them to him.”

Charlie has continued to strengthen these relationships, becoming a trusted point of contact for customers who now reach out to him directly via WhatsApp for quotes, orders and pricing.

Charlie’s commercial success has been equally impressive. He recently achieved his personal goal of £10,000 profit in a single month and quoted a £12,500 floodlighting order for a customer.

Brad praised this achievement, saying:

“For someone that’s been in the office for as long as Charlie has, it’s quite an achievement.”

Alongside his workplace success, Charlie has continued to excel in his apprenticeship studies. His commitment to learning has been reflected in his outstanding academic results, including achieving a distinction in his EDA Principles of Electricity workbook, a distinction-level score of 26/30 in his mock knowledge test and another distinction in his Module C workbook.

Damien highlighted how Charlie has successfully transferred his learning into the workplace:

“Charlie has applied this learning directly to his role, becoming more confident in using selling techniques, features and benefits and promotional conversations.”

Brad has seen this confidence develop first-hand:

“He’s definitely become more confident. He’s able to turn the conversation the way he wants it to and direct customers towards promotions or additional sales.”

Charlie’s professionalism has also stood out throughout his apprenticeship.

Damien added:

Charlie’s work ethic is consistently strong. He keeps his workload up to date, manages tasks effectively, and maintains an excellent standard of professionalism.”

Looking ahead, Charlie has an exciting future within the business, with clear opportunities for career progression.

Brad explained:

“Charlie can continue developing through internal sales before progressing into an account manager role.”

Damien praised Charlie’s overall contribution and why he was such a deserving nominee:

“Charlie has shown outstanding development, strong commercial impact, and a level of professionalism well beyond his time in the role. He is a highly deserving candidate for LSP’s Apprentice of the Month.”

Congratulations, Charlie, on this fantastic achievement. Your commitment, growth, and success throughout your apprenticeship have made you a truly deserving Apprentice of the Month. We look forward to seeing everything you achieve in the future! 👏
