RICS Apprentice Celebration Event - Celebrating Craig's Achievements

On 12th February 2026, we were pleased to attend the Welcome to the Profession Apprentice Celebration Event hosted by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors at RICS Parliament Square in London. LSP’s Construction Quality Manager, Sundus, attended alongside Craig Beckingham, who previously completed his Level 3 Surveying Technician Apprenticeship, and Craig’s line manager to celebrate this fantastic achievement.

The event brought together apprentices and employers from across the industry to recognise the achievements of those entering the profession. One of the highlights of the morning was an open forum with apprentices, where attendees were able to ask questions, hear about others’ experiences and gain valuable insight into their apprenticeship journeys.

This was followed by an employer panel discussion, where industry professionals shared their experiences of supporting apprentices, the challenges they have faced and how they have overcome them. It was a valuable opportunity to hear different perspectives and gather ideas that we can take forward to further support and develop our own learners.

We also received a brief insight into the future of apprenticeships and upcoming changes through Skills England, helping employers better understand what may be expected moving forward.

Craig’s dedication and hard work throughout his apprenticeship was recognised by Neil, EPA Specialist, who said:

“It was a pleasure working with Craig on his EPA. He put a lot of effort into his Case Study and Summary of Experience, ensuring they fully reflected his capabilities. With the guidance of a supportive mentor, he developed a clear understanding of how his workplace experience aligned with the RICS competencies. His positive attitude and openness to feedback were key factors in his achieving a first time pass.”

The day concluded with a tour of the RICS building, including the library and roof terrace, where we were able to take in views of some of London’s iconic landmarks.

It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Craig’s achievement, spend time with him marking this milestone, and network with others across the profession while gathering ideas on how we can continue to support and develop our learners.
