What is your role at LSP?
My job role as a Marketing and Content Apprentice entails many different responsibilities such as firstly maintaining social media. This may mean scheduling posts, monitoring statistics of accounts or editing and changing content such as blogs or posts. I work on our blogs, producing and writing them to ensure they are ready for due dates such as National Apprenticeship Week. I will also do a lot of work on Canva, Photoshop and InDesign to create graphics for our blogs, website and other platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
What do you find most exciting about your role?
For me, I’ve always wanted to be somewhere like here doing what I enjoy. I think the most exciting thing about my job is the design side, been able to play around with how things look, finding small details and mistakes which could be changed, and then been able to sit back and be pleased with what you’ve done, for me is one of the most exciting things.
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
I think it has to be Disneyland. I remember going as a kid with my family and just how amazing it was so I’d definitely love to go back. I am however going to Greece this year so we’ll have to see.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
One of my main hobbies is I love going to Hull City. I’ve been a Hull City fan all of my life and now I watch them every weekend. I’ve been all over the country watching football and following Hull City.
Do you have any pets?
I used to have 2 lovely cats, a tabby called Fazley and a black short haired moggy called Humbug like the sweets! However, I would love another cat, I’m a cat person at heart.
How do you like to spend your spare time?
I usually spend my free time with my family, friends and girlfriend. If I’m not doing that I’m watching Hull City. My family are also massive Liverpool fans, so we always watch those games too. I love exploring and visiting different places, going to concerts, festivals and to see live music, and trying different and new foods.
What is your greatest achievement?
I think my greatest achievement so far for me is been here, at LSP. My job now is something that I’ve always wanted to do since I was younger, the process of getting through high school, going to college, and then looking for, finding, and getting this job has been a long long journey, so to be able to say now that I’m working and doing what I love makes me really proud of myself.
What’s your favourite book or film?
Not a film but a series, I watched and loved “Peaky Blinders” and I’m looking forward to the film coming out. I love crime, drama and thriller films and series. Another series I loved was “Gangs of London” I’m waiting on the next season of that now.
What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
“Don’t give up” it’s a little generic and lots of people say it but it is true. Finishing high school and going into college was hard but the result at the end was worth it. I did my GCSE’s, I did my A Levels and now I’m doing what I love not just as a hobby but for work.
