Meet Carol, our Business & Professionals Quality Assurer!
Can you tell us about your role at LSP and what you enjoy most about it?
I am a Quality Assurer at LSP, with responsibility for supporting and maintaining quality across our provision. My role is varied and includes carrying out quality assurance sampling, monitoring learner progress to ensure they remain on track, and maintaining compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements. I also support curriculum development and updates, chair standardisation meetings, conduct exit compliance audits, upload Gateway submissions to the relevant End-Point Assessment (EPA) organisations, and provide support across the team wherever needed.
What do you find most exciting about your role?
No two days are ever the same, and what we are doing hopefully is making a difference for the better
What’s your favourite holiday destination?
I just love the Canary Islands and in particular Lanzarote where I have been returning to for several years (just returned from and will be heading out to in January 2027). All year round sunshine.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
No hidden talents, but I think a current hobby of mine is ‘booking holidays/weekends away’ as I seem to do this quite a lot!
Do you have any pets?
Not anymore 🙁 But next door’s two cats think my house is their second home, away from the noise of their own home.
How do you like to spend your free time?
When I was younger I was the ‘Can’t cook – wont cook’ but now I absolutely love cooking. I also enjoy gardening (OMG how old do I sound) how things have changed. I also love football, tennis and darts (you will have guessed I watch not play).
What is your greatest achievement?
I would have to say after losing both parents 4 months apart, I think bouncing back, dusting myself down and getting on with my life to make them proud.
What’s your favourite book or film?
Probably favourite author rather than book - I like books by Martina Cole, all in and around London, gangs and drugs.
What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
Don’t rush to grow up there’s plenty of time to do that, just enjoy yourself (I did anyway).
