Line Manager of The Month - March 26
Line Manager of the Month: Danny Snowling
We’re delighted to share that our Line Manager of the Month for March is Danny Snowling at ODE Asset Management Ltd, nominated by LSP Tutor, David.
This award recognises line managers who make a real difference in their learners’ journeys by supporting not only their day-to-day responsibilities, but also helping them grow in confidence, capability and long-term career potential. Danny’s nomination highlights a management style that is flexible, thoughtful and strongly focused on individual development.
David commended Danny’s ability to tailor his approach to suit learner Chris’s development, ensuring a strong foundation was built before increasing responsibility:
“Danny is prepared to show agility in his management style. He initially took a slow, deliberate approach to Chris’s development to build a solid foundation. When Chris felt ready for more, Danny adapted, increasing his responsibility.”
This flexible approach has allowed Chris to build confidence at the right pace, ensuring he felt supported before taking on new challenges. Danny has also played a key role in helping Chris develop a more structured way of working:
“At times he has recognised periods of overload and helped Chris transition from being reactive ‘ticking random bits to do’ to becoming highly methodical and disciplined, better enabling Chris to have the headspace to deal with unexpected issues or requirements.”
Danny’s encouragement and recognition have been central to Chris’s development, helping him grow both professionally and personally:
“Danny has always encouraged Chris’s professional growth. He celebrates his progress, noting his increased confidence and methodical approach.”
Danny’s focus extends beyond performance alone. His commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing is clear, as highlighted by David:
“Danny’s commitment to safety and well-being is also clear, as he discussed the importance of health and safety records on organisational sustainability and highlighted the availability of external welfare support within the organisation.”
Danny’s passion for developing others shines through in the pride he takes in Chris’s journey:
“Danny’s passion for developing others is clear. He takes genuine pride in Chris’ journey, recalling how he transitioned from an eager apprentice to a confident professional who now has the capacity to take on more.”
He has also been a strong role model, encouraging collaboration and open communication across teams:
“Danny has been a good role model for Chris. Chris now actively collaborates with other departments to improve communication and working practices. Danny’s guidance has given Chris the confidence to open those communication channels and work effectively across teams.”
Creating a supportive and open environment is another key strength highlighted in the nomination. Chris feels comfortable being honest, knowing he will be met with understanding and support:
“Danny creates an environment where Chris feels safe to be honest about his workload and progress. This was evident when Chris openly admitted he was ‘slow’ over Christmas and Danny was understanding.”
Danny also encourages a strong team ethos, ensuring collaboration remains at the heart of the working environment:
“He has encouraged Chris to be collaborative and to work with the maintenance team to align their plans and help each other out. He ensures Chris is part of the team, with Chris noting that he is supported by everyone and that the open, collaborative environment is important so that we can both work effectively.”
Overall, Danny’s leadership has clearly played a significant role in Chris’s development:
“Danny’s leadership has been so important in Chris’s development. He has ensured that Chris develops his skills by taking on significant responsibilities within the organisation whilst providing good support to his development both professionally and personally.”
Danny responded to the recognition saying:
“I’m delighted and very grateful to receive Line Manager of the Month. Thank you to Chris and Jack and everyone at LSP, it was a lovely surprise.
I really enjoy supporting apprentices and learners in their development and seeing their confidence and capability grow as they progress. It’s rewarding to watch them apply what they are learning, take on new challenges, and develop into valued members of the team.
A big thank you as well to LSP for the support and encouragement provided throughout the apprenticeship journey. It makes a real difference and is greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for this recognition - it means a lot.”
Congratulations Danny, on this well-earned submission! 👏
