Celebrating Barratt Redrow's Next Generation of Talent

Celebrating Success: Barratt Redrow Apprentices Complete Level 3 Construction Support Technician Apprenticeship

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of a dedicated cohort of Construction Support Technician apprentices with Barratt Redrow, who have successfully completed their Level 3 Apprenticeships with a remarkable 100% success rate! This milestone marks the conclusion of years of commitment, learning and collaboration, and highlights the growing strength of talent within the construction industry.

Delivered as a private cohort, the programme brought together learners from a wide range of departments across Barratt Redrow. As a result, the apprenticeship offered a unique opportunity for the learners to understand how their contributions connect to the wider organisation.

One of the cohort’s key strengths was its collaborative approach to learning. The learners regularly shared insights from their day-to-day roles, helping each other understand how different functions operate within the business.

“I thoroughly enjoyed teaching the cohort of Construction Support Technician apprentices at Barratt Redrow. So much of the learning could be directly linked to their varied job roles. Each learner was able to contribute with their own experiences from work which helped the group understand what other colleagues were doing and create a bigger picture of how each role connected to the other” Sarah White – LSP Construction Tutor

Sarah also reflected on the professionalism of the group, praising their engagement, curiosity and drive to succeed.

“The group were polite, engaged, on time, contributed, asked questions, and strived to do their best throughout the apprenticeship. They were a credit to Barratt Redrow and represented them professionally. I wish each and every one of them continued success and have no doubt they all have fulfilling careers ahead of them.”

Neil Ramsay, LSP End-Point-Assessment Specialist, also praised the group’s performance and preparation for EPA.

“One of the big strengths of the Barratt Redrow learners is their understanding of the company as a whole. Although they work in different departments and have different job roles, they all know where they fit in and how each department contributes to the process of building homes.”

“I was also impressed by their knowledge of Barratt Redrow’s approach to topics such as health and safety, equality and diversity and sustainability. This knowledge, along with their own technical abilities, has enabled them to demonstrate their competence against the EPA criteria to a high level.”

James Pratt, CIOB Apprentice of the Month

Among the many amazing achievements within the cohort, James Pratt stood out for his exceptional performance. Recognised as Apprentice of the Month by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), James completed his End-Point Assessment in just five weeks and achieved a Distinction - one of only three learners to do so in that month. He impressed assessors with his professionalism and the quality of his work, requiring minimal support throughout the process. James has now progressed onto the Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship, continuing his development and career journey with Barratt Redrow.

This cohort’s success reflects not only their dedication, but also Barratt Redrow’s commitment to growing talent from within. Through a strong apprenticeship programme that blends real-world experience with structured learning, Barratt Redrow is building a future-ready workforce that understands the business, upholds its values, and contributes from day one.

Congratulations once again to this exceptional group of apprentices!
