Apprentice of the Month - October 25

Apprentice of the Month: Eathan Fogg

This month, we’re delighted to recognise Eathan Fogg from EDA Apprenticeships Plus (Electric Center) as our October Apprentice of the Month, nominated by his Line Manager, Tony, and LSP Tutor Damien.

Eathan began his Trade Supplier apprenticeship in April this year, and his journey so far has been one of impressive progress, perseverance, and positivity. Over recent months, Eathan has worked hard on his apprenticeship progress - a commitment that was clearly reflected when he achieved an outstanding 29 out of 30 marks on his first mock test.

Damien shared his pride in Eathan’s growth and development:

Eathan has a great personality and enjoys sharing a joke. He already shows strong potential in customer service and supporting the business. Although he previously had several overdue tasks, he is now fully up to date and back on track. His manager, Tony, describes him as someone who works well both independently and as part of a team, picks things up quickly, has a positive attitude, and builds good relationships with everyone he meets.

Eathan continues to develop his product knowledge and confidence on the trade counter. He is also particularly strong in professional discussions. I would like Eathan to be recognised for the effort he has put in to getting his coursework and portfolio up to date and for the progress he is making in his apprenticeship.”

Eathan’s line manager, Tony, echoed this recognition, highlighting just how far Eathan has come in such a short time:

Eathan is becoming a great addition to our team and has grasped the importance of customer care and service; he is single handedly running our stores now for both goods in and goods out.

He grasps things very quickly and you usually only have to show him once; he is keen to keep learning and developing and he is very keen to work on the trade counter and doesn’t shy away from trying to serve customers even with limited product knowledge.

Eathan is a real character with a great personality and good to have around the place. He is great with people of any age which is sometimes difficult to find in a young person. I think now Eathan realises the importance of the college work and has proved himself by receiving good marks and good praise. His attendance and time keeping are spot on.

Reflecting on his journey so far, Eathan said:

“My apprenticeship journey at Electric Center has been an incredible learning experience and a great introduction to the electrical wholesale industry. From day one, I’ve been surrounded by a supportive team who have helped me build my confidence, develop my skills, and understand the ins and outs of the business.

The team has played a key role in helping me gain valuable product knowledge and understand how the store operates day-to-day. Their guidance and willingness to share their experience have made a huge difference in my progress.

Throughout my time here, the team has also helped me build confidence in myself and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone - from working behind the trade counter and talking to customers, to learning and understanding the company’s systems. Their support has made me feel very welcome and part of the Electric Center family.

Whenever I’ve had questions, especially when checking in stock, the team has always taken the time to make sure I’m on the right track and understand what I’m doing.”

Eathan’s journey is a brilliant example of how determination, support, and teamwork can transform challenges into success.

Congratulations, Eathan! Your dedication, growth, and positive attitude make you a shining example of what can be achieved through apprenticeships.
