A big well done to Lisa Holloway who has been chosen as our Apprentice of the Month in January. Lisa is currently completing her Level 3 Business Administrator Standard Apprenticeship with Buckingham Group and is due to complete in just a few months.

Lisa has displayed a huge level of teamwork and has clearly gone over and above her responsibilities and helped to support her colleagues with their studies and with their preparations for EPA. This, combined with the thoughtfulness of anticipating the needs of a new tutor visiting for the first time, shows what an asset Lisa is to the organisation.

Lisa’s tutor Mandy said:

“Lisa has assisted her colleague Connor who fell ill at my last meeting, with the portfolio referencing and completion of the actions to submit his portfolio and project using the guidance I had given to her, assisting without prompting her colleague.”

“Lisa was proactive and thoughtful of my needs for the first visit to her and her colleagues by sending me details relating to car parking, building access, café access and menu along with ensuring room and resources were available for the appointments I had made. Lisa welcomed me with a smile, made me smile at her thoughtfulness to my needs, visiting a new site and learners that I was inheriting.”

“Lisa has subsequently completed updates to her project, portfolio, revision of knowledge and has kept in touch fully with me during the last month to ensure she worked with purpose and focus to allow her to be EPA ready in January. Completion of her Gateway has occurred and all test and assessments have been agreed with the employer and Innovate.

Lisa took responsibility for the required updates I communicated to her, she has discharged these, sending all to me as agreed and despite her first versions not being of the required standard she has turned this fully around and is now ready for her assessments.”

“Lisa is committed to retaining her position and advancing herself further with Buckingham Group following the completion of the BA3 Standards and the feedback from her Manager has indicated the support is in place to allow that to occur.”

Congratulations Lisa! We are sure you will be successful in your EPA and go on to have a bright future with Buckingham Group.
