Apprentice of the Month - December 25

Apprentice of the Month: Dave Ali

We are proud to recognise Dave Ali, from EDA Apprenticeships Plus (Electric Center) as our December Apprentice of the Month. Dave was nominated by LSP Tutor, Damien, in recognition of the outstanding effort and commitment he has shown since starting his Trade Supplier Apprenticeship.

Dave began his role at the end of July 2025 and has already made a significant impact. In a short space of time, he has progressed quickly and taken on additional responsibilities within the branch.

“Dave has put an outstanding amount of effort into his work so far. He has quickly gone on to advanced more advanced duties such as raising purchase orders to suppliers, processing some quotes for customers at the trade counter and keeping customers up to date with their collections.”

Alongside his role at the trade counter, Dave has shown a strong commitment to his training and development. He is constantly building his technical knowledge and has clear goals for his apprenticeship journey.

“Dave has also completed his cable reeling training and obtained a certificate for this. He is looking to complete his first EDA workbook on principles of electricity soon and has targeted himself to learn more about different types of cable supplied and the accessories that go with them.”

Dave’s attitude and professionalism have not gone unnoticed. His manager, Chris, had high praise for his approach to work and learning:

“Dave’s manager Chris says: that Dave’s behaviour is excellent, he puts into practice what he’s learnt, and he is polite and enthusiastic when speaking with customers.”

His organisational skills have also been highlighted as a real strength:

“Dave is meticulously organised and that’s produced work to an extremely high standard for his coursework.”

Congratulations, Dave! Your enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to learn make you a well-deserving Apprentice of the Month.
