We are seeking a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (Apprenticeships) to lead and coordinate high‑quality SEND provision across our apprenticeship programmes. You will champion inclusive practice, ensure apprentices with Additional Learning Needs and disabilities receive the right support and play a key role in safeguarding and learner welfare.

✨ What You’ll Do
You will lead SEND provision across LSP, ensuring apprentices receive effective, compliant and person‑centred support. This includes:
Leading initial screening and non‑diagnostic assessment
Developing and monitoring Individual Support Plans
Recommending and quality‑assuring reasonable adjustments
Supporting exam access arrangements and awarding‑body compliance
Coaching tutors and skills coaches in inclusive practice
Working with employers to embed accessibility in the workplace
Maintaining audit‑ready ALS documentation and SEND records
Contributing to quality improvement and SEND reporting
Acting as a Safeguarding Officer, supporting learners and staff, attending weekly safeguarding meetings and managing safeguarding concerns in line with policy
This role suits someone with strong organisational skills, empathy and a commitment to doing the right thing for every learner.
💡 What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting learners with SEND in FE, apprenticeships or adult learning
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, Equality Act 2010 and DfE funding rules
Experience developing and delivering support plans
Understanding of reasonable adjustments and inclusive strategies
Excellent communication, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills
A learner‑centred mindset and a passion for inclusive education
A relevant SEND, learning support or assessor qualification - or willingness to work towards one
Confidence supporting safeguarding processes and working within statutory guidance
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
This role involves regulated activity and requires an Enhanced DBS check.

📍 Location & Working Style
National role with flexible working, based from home
Some travel required for learner and employer engagement
