Safeguarding & Prevent

background+2.webp

Safeguarding is not just about compliance; it’s about creating an open, supportive, and proactive culture where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. Whether in the workplace, online, or within training settings, we encourage a culture that:

  • Supports and encourages professional curiosity – We want all staff, learners, and employers to feel empowered to ask questions, seek clarity, and challenge concerns in a safe and supportive way.

  • Encourages vigilance – Spotting the early signs of abuse, neglect, radicalisation, or exploitation can make a huge difference in protecting individuals at risk.

  • Promotes open dialogue – By fostering an environment of trust, we ensure that learners and staff feel comfortable discussing concerns without fear of judgment.

  • Champions continuous learning – We provide ongoing training and resources to ensure that everyone remains informed and confident in their safeguarding responsibilities.

Embedding Safeguarding into Everyday Practice

We believe safeguarding is not just a policy—it’s a mindset. To build a culture where safeguarding is the norm, we are:

  •  Providing regular training & updates – Ensuring all staff, learners, and employers are equipped with the knowledge to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.

  • Encouraging early intervention – Recognising the importance of taking action at the earliest opportunity to prevent harm.

  • Strengthening our reporting mechanisms – Making it simple and accessible for anyone to report concerns confidentially.

  • Collaborating with partners – Working closely with external agencies, local authorities, and safeguarding specialists to create a robust support network.

The Safeguarding Alert Form allows you to directly alert the LSP safeguarding team if you are concerned about someone's safety or well-being. It is a confidential way to raise concerns or ask for support without having to go through other channels. The safeguarding team will review each submission and respond accordingly to provide appropriate assistance.
