About the Role

Learning Skills Partnership (LSP) is looking for an experienced and highly organised Construction & Built Environment EPA Lead to join our Quality Team and lead the coordination, preparation and quality of End-Point Assessment (EPA) activity across our construction provision.

This is a key role supporting apprentices as they move towards Gateway and EPA, ensuring they are well prepared, confident and supported throughout the process. You will work closely with apprentices, tutors, employers and End-Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs) to ensure a smooth, timely and compliant EPA journey.

The role supports apprentices across a range of construction-related standards, including civil engineering, site supervision, design and build, and surveying.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Construction & Built Environment EPA Lead, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of apprentices approaching Gateway and EPA, supporting them throughout the full EPA journey.

  • Coordinate EPA scheduling, Gateway readiness and associated assessment administration.

  • Work closely with tutors, employers and EPAOs to ensure apprentices are appropriately prepared and assessments are arranged efficiently.

  • Conduct Gateway meetings and exit reviews, providing high-quality information, advice and guidance.

  • Support apprentices to understand EPA requirements, identify and gather appropriate evidence and prepare confidently for assessment.

  • Monitor progress towards EPA and proactively address any issues or delays.

  • Maintain accurate, timely and audit-ready records using our e-portfolio and other systems.

  • Ensure activity is carried out in line with apprenticeship funding rules, assessment plans and internal quality requirements.

  • Lead and contribute to standardisation activity to promote consistency and high-quality practice across construction EPA preparation.

  • Use performance information and feedback to identify areas for improvement and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Quality, Curriculum and Delivery.

  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent, equality, diversity and inclusive practice in all aspects of the role.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can bring strong construction knowledge together with experience of apprenticeships, assessment and quality.

You will ideally have:

  • Occupational competence and relevant industry experience within construction or a related discipline.

  • Experience of apprenticeship delivery, assessment or working within further education or work-based learning.

  • A good understanding of apprenticeship standards, assessment plans, Gateway requirements and EPA.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple apprentices, priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with apprentices, employers, tutors and external organisations.

  • A proactive approach and the confidence to identify and resolve issues before they impact apprentice progress.

  • Strong attention to detail and experience of maintaining accurate and compliant records.

  • Confidence using digital systems, e-portfolios and Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a strong combination of relevant qualifications and experience, including:

  • PTLLS / Award in Education and Training, or equivalent

  • TAQA/A-Units or equivalent assessor qualification

  • IQA qualification or equivalent

  • Experience of preparing apprentices for End-Point Assessment

  • Experience of standardisation and quality assurance within apprenticeship provision

  • Experience of observing teaching, learning or assessment practice

  • An understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
