Construction EPA Lead
National role | Home‑based | Full‑time or part‑time considered
We’re expanding our Quality Team and looking for a Construction EPA Lead who is passionate about helping apprentices achieve their best. If you thrive on supporting learners, shaping assessment quality and working closely with employers and tutors, this role could be a brilliant fit.

✨ The Role
As our Construction EPA Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring apprentices are fully prepared for End‑Point Assessment (EPA) and that our assessment practices meet the highest standards.
You will:
Manage a caseload of EPA learners and guide them through the full EPA journey
Coordinate EPA scheduling, Gateway readiness and assessment administration
Work closely with tutors, employers and EPAOs to ensure a smooth, compliant process
Deliver Gateway meetings, exit reviews and high‑quality IAG
Support learners to gather evidence, develop skills and feel confident for EPA
Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records using our e‑portfolio system
Promote safeguarding, Prevent and inclusive practice in every interaction
Lead standardisation activity and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Champion consistency, fairness and reliability across all construction EPA activity
This role supports apprentices across construction‑related standards, including civil engineering, site supervision, design and build, and surveying.
💡 What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:
Occupationally competent in construction or a related trade
Experienced in delivering apprenticeships or working within FE/training
Confident in apprenticeship standards, assessment plans and Gateway requirements
A strong communicator who builds trust with learners, tutors and employers
Organised, proactive and able to manage caseloads and deadlines
Skilled at maintaining accurate documentation and following regulatory processes
Desirable:
Experience preparing learners for EPA
Familiarity with e‑learning platforms and digital tools
Experience conducting teaching/learning observations
Understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
Qualification:
PTTLS / Award in Education & Training (or equivalent)
TAQA/A-Units & IQA qualifications (or equivalent)
