Line Manager of the Month - March

We’re proud to name Lauren Howard from National Gas Transmissions as our March Line Manager of the Month! Lauren’s dedication, empathy, and leadership have made a huge impact on her apprentices, and the heartfelt nomination from Eleasha, Riise, and Kasim says it all.

Lauren consistently goes above and beyond to support her apprentices - not just as learners, but as future professionals in the industry. She’s always available when needed and encourages her team to get hands-on site experience whenever possible, helping bridge the gap between theory and practice.

“She has also ensured we’ve all had placements within the assurance and controls team, allowing us to shadow and be a part of different specialised teams” the learners shared. “This has given us all a valuable insight into how our training is used on real projects.”

Lauren’s depth of knowledge in planning is another standout. She not only brings expertise but generously shares her time and insights to help the apprentices grow. More than that, she tailors her support to each individual, taking the time to understand how she can best enhance their apprenticeship experience.

Her support doesn’t stop at guidance and logistics - she’s a champion for her apprentices' achievements. Whether it’s celebrating 100% scores on group projects in team meetings or advocating for changes that improve work-life balance, like relocating an apprentice’s home office closer to home, Lauren leads with empathy and care.

“She truly values us all as future project controls professionals. This encourages us to really take advantage of the opportunities we’ve been given at National Gas and through LSP.”

Lauren fosters an open environment where apprentices feel heard, appreciated, and motivated. Her commitment to their development is clear in every action she takes.

“I truly don’t think any of us would have achieved what we have so far or have the confidence to keep striving for success, without Lauren’s help and support,” the learners added. “She is an asset to National Gas, and we are very lucky to have her.”

It’s clear that Lauren doesn’t just manage - she mentors, empowers, and inspires. Her leadership has helped shape not just successful apprentices, but confident, capable professionals ready to thrive.

Congratulations, Lauren – and thank you for making such a meaningful difference. You’ve truly earned this recognition!
