Line Manager of the Month - July

Congratulations to our July Line Manager of the Month, Anthony Kenmare.

Anthony was nominated by Support Coach, Danni, for his amazing involvement in progress of his learners Luke and Mackenzie, who are currently completing their Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship with Ischebeck Titan.

I would like to nominate Anthony Kenmare for the Month of July. Ant has been so wonderful to work with. After a company restructure at his previous employer, Ant was determined to bring Luke and Mackenzie with him, which he did do and they have both settled in and loving it.

Ant is really involved with Luke and Macca’s learning, his door is always open for them to go in and speak to him, even though he is not their immediate line manager anymore he is still actively involved in their progress both at college and at work. He encourages and supports them always and you can tell how happy he is when the guys display new knowledge.

“Ant is a brilliant Manager and role model. He makes suggestions to how his team can progress and improve, takes interest in their work and shows passion about his work and the lads. He engages with them and gives them clear guidance on what they should be doing, and also understands that there are different strengths in the team and manages them accordingly.

Ant is firm but fair, he doesn’t think for Luke and Macca or spoon feed them, but is there to offer guidance if they need it. He is well respected at work, and both the learners and their direct Managers are so thrilled to have him around. He really looks after employee wellbeing and has mentioned this in progress reviews.

Ant operates an open door policy, even though he is not the direct line manager to Luke and Macca, he is still very much interested to hear about their progress and learning, and encourages them to come and see him for advice when they need to. He is also continuously providing them with advice on getting the most out of their studies such as time management and encouraging them to ask for help.

Ant continuously challenges Luke and Macca to be better all the time, even on our progress reviews he is motivating and encouraging them explain what they have learnt to me and to be as excited as he is.

Ant is really passionate about Luke and Mackenzie, he could see their potential and when the company restructure was happening he made sure he could take them with him to his new venture.”
