Line Manager of the Month - February

This February, we’re proud to celebrate Morgan Trimnell at Ramboll as LSP’s Line Manager of the Month - a leader who goes beyond expectations to uplift, mentor, and inspire the apprentices in his care.

Morgan was nominated by apprentice Kyle Challis, who shared just how transformational Morgan’s support has been throughout his journey.

“Morgan has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to our company’s values, and outstanding support for apprentice. He develops personalised development plans that align with our career aspirations and the company’s objectives.” said Kyle.

Morgan doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to leadership - he champions individual growth, tailoring support to each apprentice’s interests and goals. When Kyle expressed a passion for sign design, Morgan made it happen - arranging training sessions and opportunities to contribute to real-world projects like Port of Dover signage and foundations. This personal investment in Kyle’s development paid off in confidence, skills, and career motivation.

Morgan’s mentorship style is hands-on and impactful. Through regular one-on-one check-ins, he offers real-time feedback, practical advice, and constructive criticism - whether it’s helping with time management or tackling new technical challenges.

His leadership fosters a culture of continuous improvement. He doesn’t just guide his team, he empowers them. Morgan promotes professional development by encouraging apprentices to pursue qualifications, supporting flexible schedules to accommodate study, and creating opportunities for apprentices to expand their horizons.

“When another apprentice expressed interest in obtaining a certification in highway design, Morgan not only supported their application but also arranged for flexible work hours to accommodate the apprentice's study schedule.”

Morgan also knows that learning doesn’t stop at formal training. He introduced “lunch and learn” sessions, where apprentices and team members collaborate, share experiences, and grow together - building a strong, inclusive learning culture.
