Congratulations to Izzy Wallis, our November Apprentice of the Month
At LSP, we recognise and celebrate learners who demonstrate exceptional commitment, progress and achievement throughout their apprenticeships.
Izzy Wallis has been named LSP’s November Apprentice of the Month.
Izzy is completing her Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship with National Highways and was nominated for the award by LSP Support Coach Katherine.
Why was Izzy nominated for Apprentice of the Month?
Izzy was nominated in recognition of her commitment to her apprenticeship, effective time management, professional approach, teamwork and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
Her nomination also highlights her:
Ability to manage her workload and responsibilities effectively
Professional and ethical approach to her work
Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders
Participation in extracurricular activities and initiatives
Consistent completion of apprenticeship work and evidence
Support and mentoring of another apprentice
Pride, passion and commitment towards her development
What did Izzy's LSP Support Coach say?
LSP Support Coach Katherine said:
“Izzy is extremely agile within the way she works, she is able to manage her time and workload effectively, whilst also taking on new tasks and responsibilities and taking these within her pride. I believe she is flexible in her approach as her manager has informed me she takes on work which is not asked of her, however betters the company and the team.”
Katherine also highlighted Izzy’s professionalism and commitment to her development:
“Izzy operates ethically within her work and never compromises when it comes to doing the right thing. For example, Izzy always ensures she stays on top of her CPD and is therefore behaving professionally and responsibly.”
Teamwork and supporting others
Izzy was recognised for working closely with her team, the wider organisation and external stakeholders.
Katherine said:
“Izzy is definitely a person-centred individual, she works closely within her team and liaises frequently with the wider company, and also with external stakeholders. She shows that she cares by going the extra mile and completing tasks which are not necessarily expected of her.”
Izzy has also been supporting the development of another apprentice through weekly mentoring calls.
Katherine explained:
“An example of this is her work helping mentor another apprentice within the company, she holds calls with a fellow apprentice weekly in order to help them progress, which I feel deserves an award in itself!”
Commitment to development and inclusion
Izzy has taken part in extracurricular activities and schemes alongside her apprenticeship.
Katherine said:
“Izzy is an inspirational individual, I feel as though she inspires growth by taking part in extra curricular activities and schemes which are positive for the equality and diversity of the company, such as her involvement within spreading LGBT awareness outside and inside of her company.”
Progress throughout her apprenticeship
Katherine also highlighted Izzy's drive and passion towards her apprenticeship work, including keeping her evidence, tracker and assignments up to date.
She said:
“One of the key reasons for my nomination is her drive and passion she applies to everything she does.”
Katherine concluded:
“Izzy has also excelled recently within work, as she has come out trumps when assessed against other apprentices within the company, she is therefore a rising star!”

Congratulations to Izzy Wallis on being named LSP’s November Apprentice of the Month.
Her commitment to her Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, alongside her contribution to her workplace and support for other apprentices, has been recognised through this award.
