Congratulations to our August Apprentice of the Month, Rob Quick! Rob is currently completing his Level 3 Team Leader/ Supervisor programme with Motus Commercials and was nominated by his Tutor, Chris.

Rob’s Tutor, Chris said:

“Rob prioritises his diary around individual and group sessions. Where there is a customer or staff issue, he lets me know in advance that he may have to step away for a few minutes, making sure to catch up on anything missed. As a result, he’s achieved 100% attendance since the start of his programme.”

“Rob prides himself in keeping to his commitments and doing what he says he’s going to do. During a recent conversation, he recognised that this isn’t always easy with workload, but felt it was important for his own level of integrity, reputation, and the reputation of the Halesowen brand.”

“He recently offered to “buddy up” in support of learners who were struggling, which is only one example where Rob demonstrates a caring approach. He takes an interest in the welfare of his team and wants to do the best he can for his employer and himself.”

“As evidenced through a recent appraisal with one of his team, Rob focused on congratulating the member of staff for completing a Level 2 administration support programme! He also articulated how McGregor’s XY theory of motivation played a part in the way he supports staff. He commented, “I believe that if you give something to other people, they give it back!” which is a way of thinking that forms part of his management style.”

“Rob has offered to be my main contact during a scheduled visit to Motus Halesowen towards the end of this month, for the purpose of helping me as a tutor to understand the organisation and to showcase the good work they are doing through a case study. Rob displayed a passionate approach in participating in the planning process!”
